Attic – loft – penthouse apartment – its at the top of the building anyway, but only on the third floor, this is the historic centre of Valencia city, in El Carmen, and most buildings don’t go higher than this. This building was built in 1860, so no lift here, its just not possible in these old buildings, but as you climb up you can think about all the people and stories that this place must have seen over the last 160 years.. . From the large terrace you can look across the rooftops, or have a nose down at the street if that’s your thing. This is a pretty quiet street though, almost pedestrian really. The riverbed park is a couple of hundred metres away, and the city centre not too much further in the other direction.. . The apartment has been recently and completely renovated and restored. A glass staircase brings you up to the upper bedroom level. 2 bedrooms are possible, but a large master bedroom, or bedroom and dressing room works better I think. You can have a look around via the virtual tour below, I don’t have to explain it when you can see it for yourself.. . This is a lovely part of town, not very touristy, but a lot of nice restaurants and bars. Think local pale ale rather than a pint of lager, freshly-prepared esgarraet more than bravas and ketchup.. . If you really want to live in Valencia and feel part of the city community then this is the place. We’ve already met the next door neighbours and they are very welcoming, you could settle in here and feel at home in no time.
